User App Terms & Conditions – Device Doctors

1. Definitions
- We, Us, Our – Refers to RK Technologies or Device Doctors, the service provider responsible for offering the app, onsite services, and AMC plans.
- You, User, Customer – Any individual who downloads the app, uses our services, subscribes to an AMC plan, or books any onsite service.
- Service – Any repair, maintenance, diagnostic, or support provided either onsite or remotely for electronic devices.
- AMC Plan – The Annual Maintenance Contract, a paid plan offering extended benefits such as free visits, preventive services, discounts, etc., for a fixed duration.
2. User Eligibility
- Users must be at least 15 years of age to register and use the app independently.
- Users under 15 years must use the service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- Users are required to provide accurate and verifiable details such as Phone Number, Email, Full Name, and Residential Address during registration.
- By registering or continuing to use the app, users indicate their acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Service Scope and Limitations
A. Services We Provide
- Onsite servicing of laptops, desktop computers, all-in-one PCs, UPS systems, external hard drives/SSDs, routers/modems/network switches
- Annual Maintenance Plan (AMC) Services: preventive maintenance, software installations, cleaning, optimization, free/discounted visits, priority booking
- Paid Repair Services: motherboard-level repairs, parts replacements, upgrades, display/keyboard replacements, OS/software installs, virus removal
- Build Your PC: custom configuration, compatibility check, assembly, and testing
- Support and Assistance: track requests, quotations, online support, pickup/delivery (select areas)
B. Onsite Service Terms
- Minimum visiting fee of ₹150 is mandatory to confirm a technician appointment (non-refundable unless Device Doctors cancels the visit).
- If service fails or issue recurs, a free revisit may be arranged within 7 days, subject to verification and availability.
- Customer or nominee must be present at scheduled time; missed visits require a new fee.
- Technician scheduling is based on location, issue, and staff availability; may be rescheduled for emergencies.
C. Device Eligibility
- Eligible: laptops, desktops, AIOs, printers, routers, modems, UPS, external drives
- Limited: devices with severe liquid/fire damage or obsolete models
D. Photo Documentation
- Technician may take before/after photos for quality and warranty records
- Photos are for internal verification and may be shared with customer/insurance if needed
4. Annual Maintenance Plans (AMC)
A. Coverage and Validity
- AMC valid for 12 months from activation
- Includes free preventive visits, priority scheduling, discounts, free OS installs/checkups (as per plan)
B. Included Services
- Internal cleaning, OS reinstall, malware scan, hardware diagnostics, optimization
C. Exclusions and Limitations
- Parts/replacements not covered; excludes damage from breakage, liquid, surges, negligence
- AMC is non-transferable and applies only to registered devices
D. Misuse & Abuse Policy
- AMC is for personal use only; misuse leads to conversion to paid service or suspension
E. Free Revisit Under AMC
- Free revisit within 7 days for same issue, subject to verification and availability
5. Payments and Refunds
A. Payment Terms
- Prepay or pay after service; ₹150 booking fee is mandatory and non-refundable unless Device Doctors cancels
- Accepted: UPI, cards, net banking, wallets, cash (onsite, if approved)
- AMC/product purchases must be paid in full at purchase
B. Payment Confirmation
- Receipts and invoices generated for all payments
C. Refund Policy
- Booking charges non-refundable except for company cancellation or technician no-show
- Part refunds processed if unavailable or service not completed; 5% fee may apply
- Refunds within 7 business days
D. Disputes and Chargebacks
- Contact support first for disputes; chargebacks without notice may result in suspension
6. Technician Visits and Safety
A. Technician Identity and Conduct
- Technicians carry ID, are assigned via app, and follow protocols
- Customers should verify ID and report misconduct
B. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide safe workspace, access, and be present during visit
C. Safety & Security Protocol
- Visits during official hours; arrange entry permissions if needed; do not leave technician alone
D. Service Denial Situations
- Technician may refuse service if unsafe, customer absent, device unrepairable, or area unsanitary
7. Parts and Warranty
A. Parts Provided by Device Doctors
- All parts are tested, invoiced, and covered by warranty if purchased from Device Doctors
B. Warranty on Parts
- New parts: 3–12 months warranty; refurbished: 7–30 days; terms on invoice
- Warranty void for damage, tampering, or unauthorized repair
C. Not Covered Under Warranty
- Damage from breakage, liquid, surges, tampering, or improper use
D. Customer-Supplied Parts
- No warranty or support for customer-supplied parts
E. Part Replacement Quotation
- Quotes generated in app; customer must approve before replacement
8. User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate info, back up data, be present during service, cooperate with process, do not misuse services
9. Prohibited Use
- No fake accounts, unauthorized use, abuse, or illegal activity
- No hacking, automation, or public sharing of internal data
10. Intellectual Property
- All content, code, and branding belong to Device Doctors; no copying or reverse engineering
11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
- Subject to Indian law and Hyderabad jurisdiction; disputes handled via support, then arbitration if needed
12. Modifications to Terms & User Acceptance
- Device Doctors may update terms at any time; continued use implies acceptance
By downloading, registering, or using the Device Doctors app or any related service, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions, including any future amendments made by the company.
